When you want to do more with music in Facebook than post links, you can use Facebook apps. Start by visiting an app's page in Facebook to read more about it. Remember that Facebook isn't responsible for any actions taken by third-party apps, so check user reviews before making the commitment. When you're ready to start using an app, click the 'go to app' button at the top of the page and authorize it for your account, or click the 'add to my page' link on the left to select a specific page to use the app other than your Facebook home page.
- Check your email and create a password (a strong, unique one!). After that, go to Facebook settings, and navigate to the Apps and Websites section. Select the checkmark next to Spotify and click 'Remove' at the top. Facebook warns that revoking Facebook permission from Spotify may delete your Spotify account, but it didn't (at least for me).

- Spotify, a subscription-based service, lets you access your favorite tunes from anywhere. Part of that access is through its Facebook app, which includes a connection to Facebook from Spotify and options to share music with friends who are also using the app.
Add Spotify Songs. Click on 'Add Files' and if you already installed Spotify app on your computer before, the program will be brought up and you will be able to add songs from your Spotify library to the program. You can drag and drop the songs, playlists, albums, artists and more with ease. After that, hit on 'Add' at the bottom right.
- The app simply called Music lets you upload a music file or add a direct link to an existing audio or video file. After you've uploaded a track, you can use the app to play your own music or to listen to music your friends have shared through the same app.
- Profile Song offers a separate interface outside your Facebook wall where you can find the videos of music you love and post links to them to your wall. When friends click the link posted by Profile Song, they can watch that video in the Profile Song app. You can also use Profile Song to check out what posts your friends have made using the app.
- MixPod lets you search for music and create playlists of existing videos from other Web sites like YouTube. The MixPod Facebook app lets you post a playlist to your wall where, as with other videos, you and your friends can play and enjoy the tunes.

WhatsApp is one app used most commonly around our community. The app has brought in a new wave of accessibility and communication among smartphone users, and being as convenient as it is, it can easily be used as a community management platform by your brand. Because with the introduction of WhatsApp for Business, it has now become easier for brands to create their business profile on this app to connect with their customers.
One of the main reasons why digital marketing has become as big and powerful as it has, is because it’s convenient. You can reach any brand, at any time, wherever you are. And because of its rapid growth, a brand should have multiple touchpoints through which they can talk to their customers.

Setting up WhatsApp for Business for your brand not only helps you do this, but also enables you to create a business profile through which your contacts can get all the details of your brand in one place.

So when I learnt of all of these updates, I wanted to try them out for myself. And here’s a step by step guide of how I integrated WhatsApp on one of my client’s pages:
The first thing you need to do is to set up a business profile on WhatsApp Android smartphone. This can be done through their business app. The reason I say Android only is because this app is only available for this particular operating system for now. Why a separate app, you ask? This app will enable you to add a WhatsApp CTA button on your page, and the app will also provide valuable insights about messages sent, received, read and responded to, helping you judge and reasses your communication strategy with your customers through this app.
Visit your page settings and in the WhatsApp tab, add your number and after a confirmation process, your number will be added to your page.
Just in case you don’t see a WhatsApp tab, try contacting your page admin to see if the tab isn’t visible to you due to page permission. If it still doesn’t work, read our guide on how to create WhatsApp ads if you don’t have the Business app.
Add Facebook To My Apps
Although, there’s one catch: Facebook doesn’t add your number to your About section unless it’s verified by them. But, I’ve got a hack for that as well!
One thing you need to know while running these kind of ads is that you can’t add a WhatsApp button in your ad on Ad Manager. Instead, you can run these ads through the Boost Post/Promotions option available on your page.
To add WhatsApp as a CTA, select Post Engagement as your objective and choose ‘Send WhatsApp Message’ as your button and you’re done!
This will automatically update your post and add a Send Message button with a WhatsApp icon on your post.
Add Spotify To Facebook
This can also work as a hack, as mentioned above, and it automatically ads the WhatsApp number to your About section, which will then show your number along with a WhatsApp icon.
If you use your personal number as your brand’s WhatsApp, or don’t want to go through the hassle of creating a separate business profile on this app, you can still reroute your customer to start a WhatsApp conversation with you.
If you use Ad Manager, you’ll be aware of the Learn More button which let’s you add a website URL in your ads.
This way, you can easily add your WhatsApp chat URL in your ad and let customers connect to you either on WhatsApp web or through the WhatsApp app on their smartphone. To create your chat link, use the following URL:
